Arts Interview: In-Depth Conversation with High School Student Film-makers

Part 2 of Ruth Copland's interview with artists involved with the making of the film Metamorphosis Junior Year, which is having its world premiere at the Cinequest Film Festival in San Jose on March 4th. Ruth talks to some of the remarkable student film-makers.

The full-length feature film has been produced entirely by high school students with mentors from the film industry including main mentor and creator of the project James Franco, and supporting mentors Kimberly Parker, Iris Torres, Christina Voros, Tom Franco, Vince Jolivette, Kathleen Howell and Betsy Franco. The film is a project of the philanthropic studio Elysium Bandini, which supports emerging artists. Elysium Bandini brings together the Art Of Elysium charity with James Franco’s Rabbit Bandini production company. The film follows Ovid, an angsty teenage boy trying to make sense of life, love, sexuality, and friends, as he analyzes the world around him.
